Mortgage Strategy

Should I lock or should I float?

In a volatile market, my rule is pretty simple: if you like the rate and the payment works, lock it.

Should I lock my mortgage rate or float?
01

Waiting can cut both ways

Rates can improve, but they can also move the wrong direction while you are waiting for just a little better.

02

Floating is your decision

If you decide you want to float, I need that decision in writing.

03

I will watch it with you

I will give you my opinion and watch the market with you, but I do not have a crystal ball hiding under my desk.
